THE OFFICIAL CHARITY OF THE HURLINGHAM CLUB
The Hurlingham Club is a sports and social club based in South West London, founded in 1869, on a 42-acre site. The Club has over 13,000 members who participate in a range of sports and other activities. The Club is equipped with a range of sporting and social facilities.
The creation of The Hurlingham Club Foundation, in 2021, as an independent charity is seen as a key part of the Club’s strategy to strengthen and formalise the Club’s work with the local community, to harness the appetite of members of the Club to support such initiatives and to make the Club’s facilities available for community use.
The Foundation now delivers many community projects and activities, with the support of so far Club members volunteers, donors and ambassador with the aims of bringing joy, happiness and better health to those around them. We do everything from:
Teaching children vital life skills like reading and swimming
Supporting older people to move safely, dance and socialise
Providing food, gifts, equipment and hot meals to those struggling with the cost of living crisis
Helping local community organisations to improve and expand their activities and increase their reach
Providing access to coaching, facilities and equipment for those wanting to learn new skills or sports
