The Hurlingham Club Foundation’s Fun Run 2026

The Fun Run Returns in Style!

What an incredible morning we had for the Hurlingham Club Foundation Fun Run on Saturday 19 September!  With 75 participants, fantastic community spirit, and plenty of smiles from start to finish, the event was a wonderful celebration of movement, connection, and giving back.

Our relaxed and inclusive 5K Fun Run once again brought together members, staff, families, and friends to enjoy the Club's beautiful grounds while raising money for the Foundation. Designed to be accessible for all ages and abilities, participants could choose their own pace and distance whether walking, jogging, or running the course.

It was particularly special to welcome a mix of first-time runners alongside families who took part last year and enjoyed the experience so much that they returned for another go. The atmosphere throughout the morning was warm, supportive, and full of positive energy, with marshals cheering runners on around the course.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our sponsors and participants, we're delighted to share that the event raised approximately £7,500.  These funds will help the Foundation continue to harness the collective strength of the Club to create programmes and spaces that improve the health, wellbeing, and social connection of people across our local borough. This is truly the Hurlingham Club in action for the community.

A huge thank you goes to our headline sponsor, Luca Faloni, for their fantastic support. Every participant received a complimentary Luca Faloni tote bag, complete with water and electrolytes to enjoy after the run and was also offered an exclusive 20% discount on a future purchase. We'd also like to thank Johnson Health Tech who got the morning off to an energetic start with a lively warm-up session and kindly provided nourishing fruit and Percy Pigs for runners to enjoy at the finish line.

There was plenty to celebrate at the end of the race. All participants received a winners' sticker and refreshments, while prizes were awarded to the fastest adult runner and the top three children. The junior runners were especially impressive with young Chloe, beating all the adults to be the fastest runner overall, closely followed by more youngsters completing the course in around 21 minutes, a truly remarkable achievement!

The fun didn't stop at the finish line either. Participants were invited to take part in a croquet taster session, providing a relaxed and sociable way to round off the morning under the expert guidance of Croquet Chair, Richard Andrews.

Events like this simply wouldn't be possible without the support of so many people behind the scenes. Huge thanks go to our wonderful volunteers who gave up their time to help marshal, register participants, and keep everything running smoothly. We are also incredibly grateful to the many Club staff involved in the set-up and break-down of the event, our generous sponsors, and our resident photographer for capturing the morning so brilliantly.

The Fun Run continues to be a wonderful example of what can be achieved when our community comes together. Thank you to everyone who took part, volunteered, sponsored, supported, or cheered from the sidelines. Together, you've helped make a real difference, and we can't wait to do it all again next year.
